Sahara Desert ... Really Hot

Sahara is the world largest desert and is located in the Africa continent. The desert is about 1200 miles by 3000 miles. It stretches across 11 countries; Algeria, Chad, Egypt, Librya, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Morocco, Western Sahara, Sudan and Tunisia.

The desert is bordered by the Altantic Ocean, Red Sea on east, Mediterranean Sea and Atlas mountain on the north. Most of the rivers and stream are seasonal, except for the Nile River.
Sahara is one of the hotest region in the world, with an average temperature above 30 degress celius. In the hottest months, temperature can rise over fifty degrees celius and temperature falling below freezing point in the winter.

Sahara has a complex landform. It has sand dunes as high as 600 feets, stony, steppes and oases. Only animals that is able to cope with the lack of water, the extreme temperature and the lack of food is able to live in the desert.
