Cartier Panda ... Happy 'C' Day

Today is Children Day, as well as China National Day. We take this opportunity to wish all our children accross the world Happy Children Day, and China a Happy National Day.

Panda bear, found only in China, one of the world's fastest growing and most populated regions, the giant panda clings to survival.

Industrialization, economic development and explosive population growth have accedlerated in the number of animal species disappearing from the face of the earth. According to the IUCN (World Conservation Union), human activity has forced 816 species to extinction in the last 500 years.

The panda is endangered for the same fundamental reason that nature is imperiled throughout the world. The giant panda struggle to servival in this ever change world with technology boosting human acitvity at light speed.

Cartier, reowned French luxury product manufacturer, released a Panda Art Deco Limited Edition Fountain Pentheme pen.

Like the Mont Blanc Fortune Number Limited Edition, this pens is aimed at the China blooming market.

As a small country, we are very lucky to have a few out of the 888 pandas landed with a few of our collectors.

Both the pen cap and barrel are decorated with playful Pandas playing on the cloud.

As the main market for this pen are the Chinese, therefore, the panda and cloud drawing style is in chinese style.

On the Cartier pen cap, there was a mother of peal engarved with the Panda bear paw.

And the nib is decorated with a chinese painting of a Cartier and cloud symbol.
