Caran d'Ache Dragon Limited Edition : An Imperial Myth

We are three months away before the year of the rabbit ended, and we welcome the year of the powerful dragon. We will post one dragon theme pen each month as we march closer to welcome the year of the dragon.

Back in 2009, Caran d’Ache and Swiss jeweller Edouard Jud work togather again to release another enchanting and unique piece of decorative art based on the image of dragon on a pen.

Unlike the other Dragon theme pens in the market, which has one or two dragon, Caran D'ache Dragon Limited Edition has nine dragon on it.
Are you able to identify the nine dragon?
Both the pen cap and barrel are decorated with two dragons.

Where is the other 5 dragons?
The Swiss jeweller Edouard Jud added a pavillion and ..
some pine trees to make the pen less boring. It reminded me of the talking tree in the Lord of the Ring. Maybe the jeweller was watch the Lord of Ring when s/he was drawing or conceptualizing Caran D'ache Dragon theme pen.
Did you manage to guess where is the other five dragons?
The remaining free dragons are engraved on the pen section.
The pen cap is decorated with a Japan Akoya pearl, which is a symbol of wisdon.

We feel both Caran d’Ache and Swiss jeweller Edouard Ju has done a excellent job in conceptualizing the Drgaon, we feel that this is not their finest piece of work as compare to the previous limited edition.

Do you know why Caran d'Arche engraved nine drgaon and not other number?
